The George Lindsey UNA Fill Festival will kick off its 27th year Thursday, Feb. 29 at 9 a.m. at Norton Auditorium on the University of North Alabama campus, with the festival’s kick-off party slated for 7 p.m., also at Norton. As Alabama’s longest-running film festival, the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is a unique platform for student, emerging, local, and international filmmakers.

FLORENCE, AL – The University of North Alabama French Film Festival is set to begin March 4 and run through March 20, with each screening to begin at 6 p.m. in the Wesleyan Hall Auditorium. The festival, which is in its seventh year, includes six screenings, with all films subtitled in English.
FLORENCE, AL – University of North Alabama junior Madeline Cooper, of Russellville, has been crowned Miss UNA 2024 at the Miss UNA program Saturday evening in Norton Auditorium on the UNA campus. Madeline will now move on to compete for the title of Miss Alabama at an event that will take place later this year. Cooper is a Secondary Education – Social Science and she performed “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl for the talent portion of the program.
The College of Education and Human Sciences at The University of North Alabama has prioritized literacy through a variety of initiatives, most recently through hosting the Science of Reading Symposium.
FLORENCE, AL – Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of North Alabama is celebrating 50 years of being on campus, and some exciting events are planned for this spring that will bring members of all Greek-letter organizations back to campus for a reunion as well as a day of community service. Further, in recognition of this golden anniversary, the University will induct the first members into the newly established Greek Hall of Fame.
